iKnowModel represents the core of contextualized content management, as delivered by iKnowBase.
It enables you to categorize, group, label, associate and filter content in relation to the context model that fits your needs . The model provides structured context information to otherwise unstructured content.
For example: the figure below illustrates how content may be seen it is unstructured form within an organization:

The next illustration shows the same content categorized, grouped, and labeled by using iKnowModel:

In this example the user can now filter Sales Contracts according to the product line, such as retrieving all contracts for Trucks, which lists all contracts for heavy duty trucks and light duty trucks. Other users may want to filter Sales Contracts according to the division that sold the product (such as Sales-Norway, for example).
iKnowModel also enables the creation of topic maps, taxonomy trees and other dimensional elements to define the context in which the information will be stored and retrieved.
